Di Zi Gui was written by Li Yuxiu in the Qing Dynasty (1661-1722). The book is based on the ancient teaching of the Chinese philosopher Confucius and emphasizes the basic requisites for being a good person and guideline for living in harmony with others.
South Coast Chinese Cultural Association (SCCCA) was founded in 1977 as a non-profit organization. Our mission is to preserve Chinese heritage, to enrich our life with cultural diversity, and to integrate into the mainstream society. Under SCCCA, there are four functional groups, the Irvine Chinese School, ICS Parent-Teacher Organization, the Irvine Chinese Chorus, and the Second Generation Association. SCCCA started to build the Chinese Cultural Center as our permanent campus since fall of 2003 at 9 Truman in Irvine. Our programs include Chinese Brush Painting, Chinese Calligraphy, Chinese Knotting, Tai Chi Chuan and Sword, Mu Lan Chuan and Sword, Ping-Pong, Basketball, Badminton, Yoga, Chinese computer, Book Discussion, Chorus, Strings Orchestra, and Ballroom Dance.
In the heart of SCCCA, Irvine Chinese school (ICS) is the largest Chinese school in Southern California. Founded in Irvine in 1976, ICS has a long tradition of excellence and has been granted accreditation by Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) in 2015. It currently enrolls over 1,200 students in Kindergarten through 12th Grade who come from Irvine and the rest of the Orange County.

《弟子規》，原名《訓蒙文》，出現於清朝時期。原著多被認為是清朝康熙年間的秀才李毓秀，後經清朝乾隆辛卯科副榜賈存仁修訂改編、更名為《弟子規》。
《弟子規》內容取自《論語·學而篇》中的第六條：「弟子入則 孝，出則弟，謹而信，汎愛眾，而親仁，行有餘力，則以學文。 」以三字一句，兩句一韻的文體方式編纂而成。全文共360句、1080個 字，分為七個部分： 《總敘》、《入則孝》、《出則弟》、《謹》、
《信》、《汎愛眾》、《親仁》以及《餘力學文》，核心思想是孝、悌、仁、愛。
學習《弟子規》能幫助學生認識中華傳統的倫理道德知識、訓誡弟子在日常生活中應當遵循的規範。
