Lassal is a contemporary German illustrator and author of various illustrated non-fiction and fiction books. Lassal was nominated for the German Prize for Civic Engagement and is the founder of the pro bono project fingeralphabet.org. Fingeralphabet.org is a private project by the artist Lassal aiming to provide reliable, ready-to-use illustrations for international sign language alphabets.
