A helpful planning guide is provided to help teams get started and more easily implement the video-modeling strategy.

Carol Dittoe, MA, CCC-SLP, received her Masters of Arts degree from Kent State University. She has over 30 years of experience working with individuals with communication challenges, specializing in augmentative communication, assistive technology and autism. As a speech pathologist, she has worked in hospital settings as well as schools, providing evaluation and treatment recommendations for children with a range of disabilities. She has previously worked on a regional Educational Assessment Team. She now serves on a team that provides support to educational teams in applying evidence-based practices for teaching students on the autism spectrum in West Central Ohio. Heather J. Bridgman, MS, ATP, has been working in the field of assistive technology for over 20 years. She has worked in both the medical and educational environments, and her specialties include computer access, augmentative communication, and universal design for learning. Bridgman has earned a master’s degree in systems engineering as well as a teaching license in the area of high school mathematics. She has presented at numerous state and regional conferences on a wide variety of assistive technology tools and systems to build capacity at a local level. She is currently employed by the Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence (OCALI) as an assistive technology consultant and is a RESNA certified Assistive Technology Professional (ATP). Bridgman is also an adjunct instructor in the area of assistive technology at Bowling Green State University and Ashland University.
