This title introduces ways to incorporate a global perspective on a range of early years activities. They aim to ensure that multicultural activities are not separate but an integral part of the curriculum.
This series of books will provide practical dip-in activities to support the new 'early learning goals'. The ideas will provide a collection of quick-to-use timed activities with supporting photocopiables (to include activity sheets, poems, stories and songs). MULTICULTURAL ACTIVITIES will introduce ways to incorporate a global perspective on a range of early years activities. This will ensure that multicultural activities are not seperate but an integral part of the curriculum. Stories to introduce the main stories of Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism and Sikhism will be provided in the photocopiable pages. Activities will include ideas showing the importance of quiet reflective times, learning a number rhyme from a different culture and making mobiles for Eid. Each chapter is 8 pages long to provide a total of 48 activity pages with 24 photocopiable pages including activity/template pages, pages for poems and songs, recipe pages and story pages.
