KAREN RAPPAPORT is a freelance researcher with a special interest in alternative and complementary medicine. She has a B.A. in social welfare from Pennsylvania State University and a M.S. in information studies from Drexel University. She coordinated programs for the State of New Jersey to develop awareness of people with disabilities and to promote cooperation between school and public libraries. She was a researcher for the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies and for the award-winning documentaries More Alike Than Different and Paying for Peace.
