It encourages resource-based learning of German by teaching the skills necessary to exploit fully the opportunities provided by electronically-stored textual databases. Skills such as skim reading, text-processing techniques and information retrieval are covered. Sample texts from "Le Monde" are provided. The floppy disk requires an IBM PC or compatible, with Windows. The "Medialogue" language resource series has been produced in association with the Technology Enhanced Language Learning (TELL) Consortium, which aims to meet the needs of language teachers and learner. Together, the TELL range aims to cover all aspects of conversation, grammar, phonetics, interpretation and translation.
