All 20 installments of the serial drama combine real, conversationsl language with humorous topics that encourage students to relate to what is happening on the screen and facilitate class discussion. More difficult grammatical points are explained in both English and Japanese and illustrated with computer graphic animation. Five "Breaktime" segments provide footage of Japanese life and culture. Closed captions designed to improve reading skills are included in both native Japanese script with furigana for all kanji. A booklet included with this package offers advice for using the video, following up activities and glossaries for new vocabulary.
