TAIL-END CHARLIE is the autobiography of Alwin "Bobby" Watts, beginning at the tender age of 4. In his own inimitable style he recounts the nightmare of being separated from his brothers, sister, and family, but his fantastic sense of fun overcomes all obstacles. Born in Cheltenham, Alwin developed an early love of all things equine. He gained a National Hunt Jockey Licence whilst working for Major John Dennistoun, then later being one of the travelling head lads for Major W. R. Hern, The Queen's racehorse trainer. Thanks to his great personal involvement in horse racing, Alwin is able to relate many aspects of racing not generally perceived by the public. The author has also worked as a freelance artist and still enjoys his passion for painting. This book will both shock you and make you smile.
