Jeremy Reseigh Watts was born in the Isles of Scilly in 1957. After secondary school, he trained to become a French teacher and taught English in Toulouse at the Lycee Pierre de Fermat before returning to England and securing various teaching posts. He took a summer job at Heathrow Airport with BAA which led to a change of career, and in 1990 he became Terminal Duty Officer at Terminal 3.
