This new manual covers FLH Road King, Street Glide, Ultra Limited, Electra Glide and FLT Road Glide motorcycles produced from 2014 to 2016. All models are powered by the 103 cu in (1690 cc) Twin Cam engine.
Produced in the ‘Black & Gold’ Clymer format, this 448-page manual provides complete information on maintenance, tune-up, repair and overhaul. Hundreds of photos and drawings guide the reader meticulously through every job. Each procedure is in step-by-step format and designed for the reader who may be working on the motorcycle for the first time.
The manual contains full specifications, including torque settings and fault codes. Wiring diagrams are presented in colour.
This new manual joins a 20-strong range of Clymer Harley-Davidson manuals with coverage dating back to the Panheads and extending to the Milwaukee-Eight models. As any Harley aficionado will know, the Touring range is the mainstay of the Harley-Davidson product line, and with this manual now available Clymer’s coverage of the 103 Twin Cam engined models is complete.
Many of the improvements introduced in 2014 were as the result of Project Rushmore, an initiative to improve product based on rider feedback. The 103 cu in engine, identified as HO (high output), featured a redesigned camshaft and revised air filter to improve low-end torque and gain an increase in horsepower. Liquid cooling was available on the Electra Glide Ultra Classic model and this system is known as Twin-Cooled.
Transmission components remained unchanged from the previous generation Touring models. Clutch actuation is hydraulic on all models except the Road King which retained a cable-operated clutch.
The strong focus on the touring capabilities of these motorcycles resulted in many improvements to comfort, rider controls and lighting, again driven by rider feedback. The Boom! Box infotainment system represented a major step forward for touring riders and provided navigation, smartphone connectivity and audio features.
Low seat versions of the Ultra Limited and Electra Glide Ultra Classic were introduced in 2015 and provided a 2 inch reduction in seat height. Other features of the low seat models were the coil-spring clutch, the front forks the left leg of which has a cartridge style damper, and low profile shock absorbers.
Braking systems were Brembo. Harley-Davidson's Reflex ABS was an option on all models. Suspension components were Showa.
