Who am I - and how do I follow my own path?
Being trans does not mean becoming someone else. It means no longer denying who you are.
This handbook is aimed at transgender people and their companions who are looking for more than simple answers or ready-made transition plans. Dead Dance understands being transgender not as a checklist of measures, but as a personal path of development that connects body, identity, relationships, and social reality.
The guide offers orientation in complex questions. The book combines factual information with reflective depth. It explains medical, legal, and psychological contexts in an understandable way, identifies social power structures, and shows why doubts, breaks, and detours are not signs of failure, but often necessary steps toward self-determination.
"Dead Dance - The Trans-Bible" encourages readers to take their own path seriously - even if it is not straightforward. It strengthens the ability to recognise external attributions, make conscious decisions and distinguish between external expectations and inner truth. Transition is not understood as an obligation, but as a possible process that can be individual, vary in speed and take very different forms.
This book is not a recipe, but a companion. Not a benchmark, but an invitation to self-clarification.
And: if baptism applies to people and not chromosomes, then for the Catholic Church, more is at stake with regard to transsexuality than a single doctrine - the credibility of the Church itself is being put to the test. Dead Dance combines trans theology, sacramental theology, canon law, and criticism of power. At least one of the central pillars of the Church's self-interpretation must fall and be rethought. Do the Dead Dance - Don't be dead.

Eureka Circe is the editor and curator of various book series on theology (e.g., Deus Ex Machina - Or: On Questioning Life: Was Jesus Queer? - What Artificial Intelligence Has to Ask and Say to the Pope), as well as series on personal development and naturopathy. She has also published the women's political volumes "MAIDEN'S MANIFESTO - The Feminine Flame: Female Popes of Theology on the Holy Roman Chair," "Alice and the Wonderyes - Where and Why Feminism Fails in the Catholic Church," and "DIGNITAS OMNIUM - The Dignity of All: The Vatican's Encyclical on Human Rights (not yet set in stone)" (with a chapter on transsexuality). Her thesis: "Artificial intelligence (AI) represents a profound turning point because it fundamentally changes the relationship between humans, knowledge, and access to the world - not only technically, but also culturally, epistemologically, and socially. It opens up a new way of accessing knowledge and leads to its multiplication and democratization: AI systems make information readily available - often without the need for traditional reading or in-depth prior knowledge. This fundamentally changes how we think, learn, and understand, while also promoting a new form of individualized thinking - which can also be exemplified in spiritual belief. What's more, machines now generate meaning - texts, images, arguments - where previously only human expertise was required. This has long-term consequences for education, science, politics, and religion."
