For an applicant to meet his needs in life there is a peculiar way or steps he must take before it can be realized. In this regard, career making has peculiar steps as well. For example, new student needs to secure admission before he can be registered in his department. He shall pass through some preliminary stages like participating in school matriculation before he can be recognized as a student. He must attend lectures before he can pass examination. He must pass a number of course units before he can graduate. He needs to enlist and serve his father's land through enlistment in National Youth Service Corps (N.Y.S.C.) before he can call himself a full pledge graduate.

As it obtains in tertiary institution so is applicable to job seekers. Before an applicant can secure a job he shall pass through certain steps, which is the primary purpose of this book. The first step is intention to secure a job. It is this intention that propels job seeker to take further steps in the journey of job hunt. Today, many applicants complain, "There is no job in town", yet when they find one they complain "It is not suitable for my like". Such are the sets of lazy people who book appointment with disappointment.

 

Other sets of people are those willing to work if they find one. If you are in this group, you need this book in your hand. The first thing I will like you to have in mind is faith of possession. Such faith as, sooner or later I shall secure a promising job.

The Bible says, "Let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid. John14: 27. Definitely, the Lord Almighty is available to provide you with best job. God created you for a purpose and it is this purpose that makes you be on this planet earth. It is you that will fulfill the purpose and not another person fulfill it. The job that will fulfill this purpose shall appear by fire in the name of Jesus.

 

The next step is to prepare or draft your Resume or Curriculum Vitae (C.V.) Details of this shall be given in preceding chapter. It is after the preparation of a saleable C. V. and application letter, job seeker can expect to be called for an interview or appear before panel of judges for recruitment. But then, he need to know techniques in answering questions, and how to appear before panel of judges, because it is at this stage of selection and recruitment that he can be offered the job or lose to better applicants. With all sincerity and faith, apply for the position of your choice and leave the rest to God. What is, impossible with men is possible with God. Luke 18:27. Do not be discouraged, your next application letter may serve as turning point in your struggle in life. Stop drinking from cup of dilemma, have faith as you push ahead in the struggle of life. People who want to move mountain must start by carrying away small stones. Nothing great is created overnight, it has to be gradual. You will never do great things if you cannot do small things in a great way. Therefore, to secure a job you must first dust your certificates and credentials, update your resume; buy a packet of foolscap envelope and a packet of foolscap paper. In this manner, raise them before God and say in this manner.

O Lord my God, I raise these writing materials before you for support, favour and mercy. Before I exhaust them for the primary purpose to secure a job let heavenly miracle fall upon me by fire. I therefore envelope these writing materials in the pool blood of Jesus, for signs and wonders. Thou gate of employment open by fire and let me dwell no more in the labour market. Cleanse my certificates, my credentials and every other related document that shall accompany my application letter with your blood. As, applicants are short-listed for interview let my letter be given attention and recognition, in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Brethren as you say this prayer from the bottom of your heart sooner or later the door of gainful employment shall open unto you in the name of Jesus. Amen. At last, you shall say “I have fought a good fight. I have finished the race (against unemployment) and I have remained faithful (to my God the provider of good things)” 2 Timothy 4:7.

In the real sense of it many are experiencing serious satanic torture because their certificates are polluted in the dark world. I have witnessed and heard of witchcraft confession that, they smear certificate of victims with feaces in the spirit realm. In such a situation whenever and wherever such certificate is presented for employment it will experience total rejection, failure and disfavor. This is just a tip of the ice bag. In fact many certificates are kept inside the sea by marine powers while some are placed under satanic stones. In the dark world some certificates are either captivated or passed from one hand to another until it become untraceable. Sometimes, many certificates are kept under lock and key in the spirit realm. The funny part of it is that they don't stop there but have evil power to use victim’s certificate to sell fried cake (Akara), popcorn, fried or roasted yam, and roasted corn.

It may sound funny but it is real. That is why you see people who are computer literate, with multiple degrees and professional certificates without good job. What a tragedy, what a failure, what a disaster. No wonder, such people write applications without positive result. When people see their results they marvel “You have good result and connections to back it up but why can't you secure a job since all these years?” Although to secure good job is not as that easy but one shouldn't lack. Push with the spirit of I shall not fail but succeed in life.

Aim for success. I say aim for success. Apply the “S3” formula that brings lasting laughter to life. The first "S" stands for success, which means you form criteria of what success mean to you to succeed in life.

The second "S" stands for strategy, which means you have to start to form a workable plan that will expose you to ways and means to achieve a balance between work and life.

The third "'S" means synergy, which is ability to cooperate with co-workers to bring forth best result in organizational goals and plans. By this, you must have operational value with people around you, be a team player and a good communicator as well.

To achieve this, do not forget my earlier warning; which says you must push. I say PUSH meaning Pray Until Something Happens, don't wait on people. Act fast, the greatest risk in life is to wait for, and depend on others for your security and satisfaction. You are not alone; Christ is with you at time of needs. Let me assure you this: There is a rod in your hand to part the Red Sea before you. There are positive powers around you that can turn bitter water to sweetness. Such powers can turn every desert before you to evergreen pasture. The head of axe (opportunities) you thought is lost to river or sea is floating right there before you. I know you can't lose in the presence of God. Just match on with hope and zeal to win. Your struggle shall not be in vain for it is said he who does not struggle sees no success. Let me quickly chip in a word of knowledge as you read on. The word of knowledge is this, you may be an employer in the offing not an employee because God may destine you to be an employer not employee. It is at this stage I will like you to discover yourself and talent; and bring it to practice.

But if you insist you are an employee, pray for employment to manifest, for God can empty heaven of job opportunities just because of you. But be warned never to expect YES as answer to every petition before God. There are three answers to prayers, which are YES, NO and WAIT. When you search and pray for job, God may answer you immediately meaning YES. He may not answer you at all because you are either asking for a wrong job or He does not want you to work for anyone at all, meaning NO....
