'Letting go is not a loss - it is an act of self-respect. This book beautifully reminds us that freedom comes from choosing what truly matters, and releasing the rest with gratitude. A meaningful guide for living lightly and authentically.' Marie Kondo
What if a freer, richer life doesn't come from gaining more but from letting go?
In today's world, everything is too busy, too fast, too complicated and too connected. We live in an age of too much - of goods, information, choices and demands. As we chase more possessions, status and approval, we become more stressed, confused and anxious.
Let Go is not a guide to decluttering; it's a simple life strategy for finding freedom, happiness and your true self in a chaotic world.
The 50 Lessons in this book offer small steps you can begin today, covering every aspect of your life: money, time, belongings, health, stress, mindset, habits, work and relationships.
Maximise what matters most by minimising what doesn't matter. So let go!
Daisuke Yosumi was born near Osaka in 1970. He has worn many hats. He was head of Warner Music (Japan) at age 34. As a record producer, Yosumi recorded ten million-selling hits before moving to New Zealand in 2010. There he created a sustainable self-sufficient lifestyle unconstrained by time or place where he could pursue a minimalist workstyle independent of any outside system. Yosumi is the president of LifestyleDesign.Camp, a school where students learn how to design their own post-capitalism lifestyle. He is also a noted environmentalist, as the first Japanese ambassador for Greenpeace Japan as well as Fairtrade Japan, and an ambassador for Japan's Ministry of the Environment. He lives in Bay of Plenty, New Zealand with his family. He also hosts a podcast Noiseless World in Japanese, English, and French. His main topics, including Japanese minimalism and Zen degrowth thinking resonate strongly with people living in an excessively capitalist and over-materialized society.
