In the text readers will find fictional scenarios of firefighters facing tough calls and pivotal moments that may determine their success or failure. By applying common sense and considering the fresh perspectives offered by these scenarios, readers are urged to self-reflect and apply this wisdom to enhancing their own personal growth and career success.
John Ambrose was born and raised in the small rural town of Jefferson, OH. After graduation from high school, he earned his bachelor of science degree in business administration, finance, from John Carroll University. Inspired by the events of 9/11, he enrolled in the fire academy and paramedic school in 2002 and became a full-time firefighter for the city of Avon, OH, in 2006. Now in his 19th year with the department, John is a shift lieutenant for Charlie Company. In his spare time, John enjoys hiking, traveling, and writing. He lives in Parma Heights, OH, with his family.
