Based on a comparative analysis of literary sources and the results of relevant studies, this work reveals the scientific and practical significance of the symmetrical development of right- and left-sided motor functions in modern sports. Methodological recommendations have been developed and presented for use in the training of athletes of various categories, consisting of sets of exercises designed to symmetrically improve right- and left-sided locomotor acts performed by the upper and lower limbs with and without multi-directional body rotations, depending on the motor tasks required.
