A meditation on allotments, gardening and our connection to the earth from a prizewinning author. Perfect for readers of John Wright or those who love almanac books
The Allotment Diaries is a story of family and food, of the turning of the seasons and of our relationship to the earth. Thom tended to a plot in an allotment next to his parents for years, and after his father's death he found himself writing of the soil and the land, and this is the result - a meditation on what it means to live a good life, to have a good death, a month-by-month portrait of the soil we all have in common.
