In recent years, research has shown increasing interest in investigating the effects of sport and exercise on the rehabilitation and reintegration of addiction patients. However, most studies are limited to the period of inpatient hospitalisation. This study therefore attempts to expand this field of research and focuses on generating subjective data from addiction patients on possible links between addiction, social integration factors and physical activity, both during and after hospitalisation.
Micha Pfaehler (born in 1990) studied sports and history at the University of Basel from 2010 to 2016 and has been working as a sports teacher at the Unica School in Liestal since 2014. He is the founder and director of the parkour club limitless and is involved in the Gellertkirche Basel.
