This work contains eight inspirational walks through some of the most stunning scenery the Peak District has to offer, all on a tough, Peak-proof map - Kinder Scout from Edale; Derwent Edge; The Great Edge - Mam Tor to Lose Hill; High Neb; Chrome Hill; Win Hill; Shining Tor; and The Roaches. This guide gives the walker, or indeed trail runner, the insiders' track on some of the Peak's finest excursions. The walks vary in length, but all have one thing in common, they culminate in a visit to a classic Peak District summit. This map introduces newcomers to some of the best walks in the Peak District, both the Dark and White Peak, but also offers some challenging alternatives for regulars to this popular region. Walks from 6 to 17.5km, all walked and written up by local Peak District writer Jon Barton. The routes are plotted using specially created maps, described using clear, easy-to-follow directions and printed on Peak-District-proof laminated paper!
