Only a simple toolset is required and the materials needed are minimal and cheap. Chapters include: Strip planking the hull, fibreglass strengthening, mold and casting lead keel ballast, electrics installation, spray painting and masking techniques, sail making, mast, rigging and tuning of sails. In addition to the "Construction Chapters", there are end sections on handy tips and tricks and a glossary of terms.

Bryn Heveldt is a graphic designer, 470 sailor and model boat master craftsman. This is his first book. He lives in New Zealand.
