The beginner-friendly projects are packed with hints and tips and structured step by step, making it easy to follow the instructions and achieve your own fantastic results!
Each of the 15 projects takes just 30 minutes, so are quick and easy to paint in an evening or in a spare afternoon.
The paintings are all worked at postcard size – ideal for a 6 x 4in (A6) watercolour pad.
No drawing is necessary – full-sized line drawings for each postcard artwork are provided at the back of the book.
This book uses material previously published as Ready to Paint in 30 Minutes: Mountain Scenes in Watercolour (9781782216865).
Lesley Linley has a background in Graphic Design but she learned about watercolour techniques entirely from books. Having discovered a love for the medium, she found she enjoyed sharing her skills and a career in teaching Adult Community Education began. Teaching left little time for her own painting until she moved to Skye. Here she opened a studio in order both to run classes and workshops for local people and visitors from the UK and overseas, and to spend more time painting for pleasure. Since returning to her home county of Derbyshire she has become a member of Peak District Artisans and exhibits with the group. She also continues to run workshops and give demonstrations.
