In this inspiring guide, Pippa Chapman – RHS-trained, award-winning garden designer – shows you how to create flourishing polycultures that work with nature, not against it.
Whether you dream of a fragrant herb garden, a vibrant edible landscape, or a family-friendly food forest, Pippa gives you the tools and confidence to make it happen.
Packed with practical, easy-to-follow steps, you’ll discover:
Proven techniques to enrich soil, boost biodiversity, and naturally deter pests.
Practical permaculture methods to grow more with less waste.
12 ready-to-use garden designs with detailed plant lists, layouts, and companion planting tips. Including designs for your own herbal first-aid kit, crafting materials and for a shade garden.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced grower, this book is your roadmap to cultivating a beautiful, regenerative garden that nourishes both you, your family and the planet.
Pippa Chapman has been gardening for over 30 years. In 2007, she left her job as Head Gardener on a private estate, to take a year-long practical apprenticeship at RHS Harlow Carr. She was introduced to forest gardening and permaculture and in 2010 set up a sustainable gardening business with her husband. Her first book, The Plant Lover's Backyard Forest Garden was published in 2022. She hosts the Pippa Chapman Food Forest channel on YouTube and teaches course on permaculture, forest gardening, plant propagation and more. She grows a wide variety of fruits, flowers, herbs and annual and perennial vegetables in her small backyard, creating a beautiful, edible and wildlife friendly space.
