The day-to-day struggles with life are ego-driven in the desperate search for security and comfort resulting in a life of perpetual grasping for things that can never be satisfying. Life becomes filled with dread in the ignorance of the sacred spiritual dimension where true security and comfort can be found, free of dread and fear. The ego-driven life is a product of the dominance of the left hemisphere of the brain over the right, functioning in accord with the science of classical physics. In contrast, the potential for living a life of courage, with an attitude of curiosity, and ready for any adventure life might offer is as simple as taking a mindful/meditative step away from the left towards the right hemisphere of the brain. The right hemisphere of the brain functions more holistically in accord with the science of quantum physics. Once a meditative lifestyle can be pursued and maintained with intention and attention, the two brain hemispheres can be brought into harmony, permitting a spiritual life of peace, fulfillment, compassion, and intimacy. We find this spiritual balance is also in harmony with quantum physics. Science and spirituality are unified as an awareness of the wholeness, interconnectedness, and beauty of life and the cosmos. Such is the journey of this book.
