Prof. Dr. Jan Mayer, born in 1972 holds degrees in both Sports Science and Psychology. For more than 25 years, he has been coaching elite athletes across a wide range of disciplines (e.g. Soccer, Ski-Jumping, Boxing), including both individual and team sport athletes at the national team and professional level. He is a professor at the German University of Applied Sciences for Prevention and Health Management in Saarbrücken and an honorary professor at the Institute of Sports Science at Saarland University. Since 2020, he has been a managing partner at the Institute for Compassion gGmbH in Heidelberg, together with Petra Johns.
