The present book emerges at a crucial moment for the appreciation of the abiotic resources that shape the planet. The book offers a comprehensive approach to the interconnectedness between geology, culture and tourism, highlighting how geoheritage can be sustainably integrated into geotourism. The city of João Pessoa, NE of Brazil, with its rich geoheritage, is used as an inspiring example to demonstrate how tourism can be a tool for promoting environmental preservation and cultural appreciation. With clarity and depth, the book combines theory and practice, exploring real cases that show the positive impact of geotourism on local communities. This work is a valuable resource for both professionals and scholars seeking to reflect on new ways to promote responsible tourism, enriching visitor experiences while protecting natural and cultural heritage.
