Both Ivorian and French, Tidjane Thiam was for 11 years CEO of Fortune 500 companies – Prudential PLC for 6 years and Credit Suisse for 5. In the 1990s, he spent six years in his native Cote d’Ivoire in cabinet level positions. Tidjane Thiam is a graduate from Ecole Polytechnique, Ecole des Mines de Paris and Insead. Tidjane Thiam is a Chevalier de la Legion d’Honneur.
