Johnnie Lowery is a young author with a growing reputation after his third book, Match Fit: An Exploration of Mental Health in Football, was shortlisted for the Charles Tyrwhitt Sports Book Awards 2024. A devout Sutton United fan, he follows both his club side and the England men’s team home and away. Lowery started writing at university and published his first tome, Six Added Minutes, in 2019. Amateur Hour is his fourth book.
