The rocky shores of Kolovesi National Park only echo the sounds of the wilderness, as motor boating is prohibited in the breeding area of the Saimaa norte. Go on a kayaking trip and launch your canoe from the Käkövesi or Kirkkoranta launch site.



There are thirteen camping areas, and there is even a rental cabin in Mäntysalo and Huhtiniemi. The alternation of backwaters and narrow straits brings variety to traveling. There is a rock painting depicting a human figure on the wall of the imposing Ukonvuori, which has also been found on the rock walls of Havukkavuori and Vierunvuori.



Joutenvesi is almost entirely a nature reserve, and there are no camping spots. Temporary camping is allowed except in restricted areas.
