The Museum of the City of Rio Grande was founded in 1984 with the aim of preserving the city's historical memory. It was divided into two collections: the Historical Collection and the Sacred Art Collection. A study was then carried out into new exhibition furniture, investigating the materials used to build up the collection, their state of conservation and also the most suitable materials for building the display cases.
Bruna Lemos Lobato has always had a keen interest in the field of Conservation and Restoration of Movable Cultural Property. Recognising the cultural value of historical heritage is essential for creating guidelines for its protection, maturing the concept of it.
