Un grand gru pour le tour auto !
Le Tour de France automobile est la plus ancienne épreuve existante. Sa nouvelle formule, disputée avec des « classiques », en est à sa 32e édition. Parmi lesdites classiques, qui doivent avoir participé entre 1951 et 1973, force Ferrari et Porsche ont cotoyé une Bugatti, des Mercedes 300 SL, une Renault 4 CV, très spéciale, des Ford GT40 et, c'est exceptionnel, une Ferrari 512 M. Tout aussi exceptionnelle est la Jaguar Type C qui illumine la couverture. Cette année, les anglaises sont à l'honneur, et elles font honneur. Honneur au tracé somptueux, qui aillait circuits de légende, Dijon-Prenois, Charade et Paul Ricard, spéciales du rallye de Monte-Carlo et routes serpentant entre les vignobles. Assurément, un grand cru !
A great year for the tour auto !
The Tour de France Automobile is the oldest event still extant. It Is now In its 32nd edition In Its new formula that enables « classic » cars to do battle. Among the aforementioned classics, which had to have taken part between 1951 and 1973, Ferraris and Porsches aplenty rubbed door handles with a Bugattl, Mercedes 300 SLs, a very special Renault 4 CV, Ford GT40s, and exceptionally, a Ferrari 512 M. Just as exceptional is the Jaguar Type C that Illustrates the front cover. This year, English cars were honoured and they did justice to this honour. Honour too to the marvellous route that combined legendary circuits Dijon-Prenois, Charade and Paul Ricard, the Monte Carlo Rally special stages, and roads winding their way through vineyards. Beyond doubt, a great year !
