Introduction: New Sports Disciplines have been born and spread through globalization processes that, have been promoted, through novel practices of exercise and body building characterized by their flexibility, creativity, improvisation, recursiveness and social impact. Originating in the combination of existing sports and in the creation of new physical activities, the new sports propose the enjoyment and achievement of better human experiences. General objective: To analyze the social projection of new sports disciplines in Colombia in order to know their real impact. Methodology: An exploratory study was carried out on the different existing visions, by means of a documentary review of various national and international sources that are transcribed in this document. Results: It has been possible to provide the country with new perspectives to address, promote and prepare the young generations in the enjoyment of these new sporting experiences. Conclusions: Changes are proposed to advance and strengthen the updating, in the faculties and programs of physical culture in the research processes.

Professor of Pedagogy, Practice 1, Research 1 to 3.
