The Social Justice Sewing Academy is proud to present 30 unique postcards depicting former President Barack Obama, handcrafted by future leaders of America. Use these postcards to spark conversation and savour as a historical keepsake. Each postcard was crafted by middle and high school students during a workshop hosted by the SJSA. A portion of the proceeds from this product will support the Obama Foundation's Girls Opportunity Alliance.
The Social Justice Sewing Academy was founded in 2017 as a youth education programme that bridges artistic expression with activism to advocate for social justice. Through a series of hands-on workshops in schools, prisons and community centres across the country, SJSA empowers youth to use textile art as a vehicle for personal transformation and community cohesion and become agents of social change.
