Being called a sorcerer and actually being a sorcerer are vastly different things.To acquire the status of ';Sorcerer' you must be able to reach the Abyss, leap into it and survive your leap into the unknown.The difference between a sorcerer and a wizard is that the wizard passes over the abyss as a dis-embodied point of awareness, crosses over to the other side of the ';Canyon' and begins life as wizard, leaving behind life as a sorcerer. When a sorcerer becomes a wizard they acquire two protectors, an elf and a giant. They transition from active dreaming to converting dreams into reality. This is necessary to create predictability.Wizardling is the story of Dr. Mayo's transformation from sorcerer into a wizard.
