Paula Carnell was at the peak of her career as a professional artist. After twenty years of painting, exhibiting, a greeting card business and her own Art Gallery when disaster struck. One morning unable to move, and remained mainly bed and then wheelchair bound for the next seven years. After six years she was finally diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos syndrome, with little hope of recovery. With the help of a Medical Herbalist, plant based minerals, and her bees, she managed a full recovery and combines the herbs, minerals and bees with her travels to discover where the bees and humans are living together healthily. Studying herbal medicine, honey sensory analysis and bees has led her to develop her business 'Creating a Buzz about Health' . With her 'bee team' Paula works educating the public through talks and classes about what exactly is killing the bees and shares her learnings through these fifty short tales. From the deserts and mountains of Oman, meeting  traditional beekeepers using date log hives, acres of wildflower meadows in Bulgaria to an exciting project on her dorrstep in Somerset. With a natural gift for sharing the stories of those she meets and transforming the knowledge into an easy to understand form, readers will learn about the most common practices of beekeeping around the world, and the new ways of thinking that could help us all to take care of the bees living around us. Throughout she asks the question;'what if what is killing the bees is also killing us?'
