This brutally honest auto-biopic of A.W. Burgess explores how Burgess was not born a monster but made a monster. He discusses in intimate detail how his former childhood girlfriend and then his wife fell in love with him and not his violence, abuse, and bullying! He emphatically says his greatest regret in life  was taking too long to get help for his violent behavior, as well as letting someone know family members were harming him as a child. His ignorance, secrets and silence led to his violence towards others and himself. He paid the price for a crime he never committed as a child and ultimately ended up reciprocating that violence to innocent family members and friends.

His ignorance to his mental health ultimately landed him in a Virginia state penitentiary and psychiatric hospital for the criminally insane where he consequently received the mental health solutions that he could have received without ever going to prison because domestic violence is a preventable issue. As an homage to all victims of violence, Burgess will spend the rest of his life trying to save lives and legacies of victims and victimizers, so they do not end up perpetuating and experiencing the incredible pains he has throughout his entire life! Burgess hopes and prays that this book becomes a powerful resource that frees any individual struggling with the pain of domestic violence, child abuse, and bullying.
