Group Development and Group Leadership in Student Affairs provides readers with an overview of basic group dynamics and techniques that are effective in higher education and student affairs settings. Wendy Killam is a professor and coordinator of the counseling program at Stephen F. Austin State University. She is a licensed counselor and has experience working in the field of student affairs. She has been working in higher education for over 20 years. Adam Carter is a counselor educator and supervisor specializing in working with bereaved youth and families in group settings. He worked in housing and residence life for a decade before becoming a professional counselor. Suzanne Degges-White is professor and chair of the Department of Counseling, Adult and Higher Education at Northern Illinois University. She writes a blog for Psychology Today magazine and is a regular contributor on NIU’s NPR radio station’s Perspectives program.
