Dr. Schwartz is one of the original members of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association. She specializes in acupuncture, herbs, nutrition. She teaches herbology and veterinary acupuncture accreditation courses worldwide, and is a frequent lecturer for humane societies and private animal training groups. Dr. Schwartz writes a holistic pet column for Healthy Living magazine, and is also the author of Four Paws, Five Directions: A Guide to Chinese Medicine for Cats and Dogs (Celestial Arts, Berkeley, CA 1996).
