In Cape Curry & Koesisters, twin sisters Fatima and Gadija takes us on a Cape Malay food trip, which is also a journey of life, as the recipes are linked with memories of their childhood on the Cape Flats. Fatima is a cook and former caterer. She loves people and uses her cooking to bring them together. Sydow’s three-year-old Facebook page, where she shares her recipes, has gained her a massive following across the world. She and her twin sister Gadija has there own cooking programme on Via, DSTV 147, called Kaap, kerrie & koesisters. Gadija is a home cook and passionate about baking. She holds a degree in Information Science from UNISA and is currently the head librarian at Seaview Primary in Mitchells Plain. She is a literacy activist and has won numerous awards for her role in literacy improvement in her community.
