A whimsically serious chapbook about dogs
The chapbook includes absurd graphs, charts, and diagrams that tell the truth about dogs—their size, attitude, and likeability is laid bare for all to read and enjoy.

KIT REED (June 7, 1932-September 24, 2017) was an American author of speculative and literary fiction, as well as psychological thrillers under the pseudonym Kit Craig. Her novels include Mormama, The Baby Merchant, Son of Destruction, and Thinner Than Thou, which won an ALA Alex Award. Often anthologized, her short stories have been nominated for the Nebula, World Fantasy, Shirley Jackson, and Tiptree Awards. A Guggenheim fellow and an early recipient of a literary grant from the Abraham Woursell Foundation, Reed was the resident writer at Wesleyan University. JOSEPH W. REED is professor emeritus of film and American studies at Wesleyan University, where he became interested in printmaking and painting in the 1970s. Experimenting with these mediums, he produced a body of work characterized by its sobriety and painstaking attention to historical detail. Thematic series include "Chief Executives Underwater," "First Ladies In Space," and "The History of Western Ant." Books include Three American Originals: John Ford, William Faulkner, and Charles Ives and American Scenarios: The Uses of Film Genre.
