This book deals with three core studies, namely, coronary artery disease risk factors, health-related physical fitness and health risk behaviours in university students. The purpose for the book was to investigate selected health risk behaviours of university students, and to design and implement various intervention strategies in order to address the various health risks. The study is specific to the University of the Western Cape, South Africa and involved first year undergraduate students only.
I currently hold a doctoral degree is sport science and occupy the position of senior lecturer in the Department of Sport, Recreation & Exercise Science at the University of the Western Cape, South Africa. I have a social interest in football, and have been actively participating in squash and mountain climbing for many years.
