Flying Geese are a workhorse blocks that can be used to make beautiful, timeless quilts. This book shows you the multiple methods for making them (from the slow to the speedy) and combines Flying Geese with other pieced blocks that complement the triangle blocks. The book is organised into three main sections: Techniques for making Flying Geese, 8 Quilt Patterns and, finally culminating in a chapter on 40 Flying Geese Blocks and a Sample Quilt to feature them. This final chapter features small projects to make from the half-square triangle units that remain after trimming the Flying Geese for each project.

Autor

Lee has been creating since she discovered crayons at age two. She comes from a long line of quilters and learned everything she knows from her mother, affectionately known as "The Guru". Lee loves all things fabric-from zippy pouch to queen size quilt-and everything in between. With a love of colour and bold graphic shapes, she enjoys designing patterns, teaching all types of quilting and sewing classes and sharing her adventures on her blog, www.maychappell.com. Trained as a graphic designer, she brings a clean, fresh look to her projects! She teaches a Craftsy course called Quilt Faster: Accurate, Streamlined Piecing. Her work has appeared in Modern Patchwork, Quiltmaker and other publications.
