This CD-ROM contains 550 questions, over 130 quarter-screen video clips, more than 300 full-colour photographs, 3D and 2D animations and line drawings of driving situations, road layouts, and hazards representing conditions found all over the UK. The program is designed to enable new and experienced drivers to explore potentially dangerous situations without leaving the safety of their home, school or office. A menu enables the user to select the number of questions they wish to tackle in a particular session, as well as the mix of subjects. Each test is constructed randomly from the database of 500 questions. The program also allows a number of people or teams to compete using the same series of questions; the top scores can then be displayed and saved for future reference. The technical requirements are: IBM-PC or compatible, 486 DX 33MHz or higher, Windows 3.1, 8MKb RAM, twin-speed CD-ROM, 64k (high colour/full colour) graphics card, 16-bit sound card.
