Sir Rupert Mackeson is a well known face on many British racecourses. He runs a mobile bookshop and art gallery, attending two or three meetings a week. After he left school, he spent time riding and racing with the trainer Georgie Wells and the jockey Albert Power. Having served for four years with the Royal Horse Guards, Sir Rupert spent many years abroad developing business ventures. Since returning to England, Sir Rupert has written a number of books on racing and gambling.
