She writes for many publications, including The New York Times; Washington Post; Newsweek; Eating Well; Yankee; Modern Farmer; Better Homes and Gardens; O, the Oprah Magazine; Down East; and many more. She does cooking classes and food writing seminars and teaches journalists how to report on food and food issues for radio. She is part of Michelle Obama's 'Let's Move' initiative and teaches cooking and gardening with elementary school children in her small town in southern Maine.
