Wheeler M. Thackston, (Ph.D. Harvard University, 1974) is Professor of the Practice in Persian and other Near Eastern Languages at Harvard University. He teaches Persian and Arabic, including Levantine Arabic. His research interests include Persian, Kurdish, Chagata, Turkish and Arabic language, literature, and art.
