A unique photographic insight into different tiger families in Ranthambore Rajasthan.
This book highlights another facet of Bina Kak's remarkable personality - her passion for wildlife conservation and protection of wildlife habitats. Her active contribution both politically and socially to this field is widely acknowledged and she is a much respected environmental voice. Having been instrumental in the creation and expansion of India's National Parks, she has now sought to reflect her love of wildlife and desire for conservation through photography, focusing on India's critically affected national heritage which is in desperate need of public support. With no formal training in photography she has impressed professionals in the field with her intuitive ability to capture the soul of wild animals and their habitat. In this book her photographs document the behavioral patterns of tiger families in Ranthambhore, Rajasthan. Her images capture the beauty and unique characteristics of different tiger families, their social identities and habitats, a completely fascinating and beguiling collection that will undoubtedly raise awareness of the tiger's plight and highlight the need for conservation if they are to continue to exist and thrive in the wild.

Bina Kak is a public figure who has been active in state politics for last 25 years. She has represented her constituency as a legislator in the Rajasthan Assembly for over two decades. She is currently the Cabinet Minister for Environment and Forest, Women and Child Development, Tourism and Art and Culture. Apart from her involvement in politics, Bina Kak has acted in films and looks after a centre for physically disabled children and children with special needs.
