She also offers both in-home and distance consultations, helping people understand and change their dogs’ behavior. September has aided humane shelters in setting up training programs to improve dogs’ behavior and adoptability. To date, September has written more than 150 articles and 6 training books. She holds a BA in psychology, with a concentration in cognition and perception, from Western Washington University. September lives with several beloved dogs on her hobby farm in Washington State.
