Colonel Bernd Horn is an experienced serving infantry officer who is currently the director of the Canadian Forces Leadership Institute. He is also an adjunct professor of history at the Royal Military College of Canada. His previous Dundurn Press books include The Canadian Way of War: Serving the National Interest, Warrior Chiefs: Perspectives on Senior Canadian Military Leaders, and Paras vs the Reich: Canada's Paratroopers at War, 1942-1945.
There is always much to learn for young servicemen and women in reading military history. Happily, this book is more than a text, and it can-and should-be read by anyone willing to spend a few hours reading good Canadian military history.
