For more than fifty years Richard Prior has been a deer enthusiast--as an amateur stalker, a Forestry Commission Head Ranger, and advisor to the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust and the British Deer Society, and then as a freelance deer consultant to the Shooting Times. He has lectured extensively and was awarded the prestigious Balfour-Browne Trophy for services to deer on two occasions.
