A sumptuous collection of recipes for delicious cakes and biscuits, breads and pastries, sweet treats and savoury delights from Rachel Grisewood, the woman behind the handmade Manna from Heaven bakery.
Manna from Heaven is a book for everyone who loves food and flavours. Rachel Grisewood is the founder of Manna from Heaven, the bakery of the same name. With over 150 recipes, including the secrets of Rachel's most successful (and treasured) cakes, sweet treats and savoury delights, this is a cookbook to use and enjoy again and again. Discover her fabulous lemon polenta cake, decadently rich chocolate and hazelnut praline cake, buttery raspberry brioches with honey, taleggio and walnut tarts, the famous chocolate crunch, and more. But this is more than just a cookbook. Above all, it's a sweet story - about cooking and cakes, warmth and family, nurturing and life, messiness and love.

Born in the UK, Rachel Grisewood trained as a chef at the Leith School of Food and Wine in London, before moving to Australia in the 1980s to work as a chef. She founded and is the master baker of Manna from Heaven, the purveyor of fine handmade cakes, biscuits and pastries, sold throughout Australia at delis and cafes, upmarket food halls and gourmet food markets. She loves going out for lunch and not going back to work and draws her inspiration mainly from reading books and looking at food magazines from around the world. When she is not working or reading she loves to cook for her family and friends. She hates cleaning.
