Thomas B. Stoddard is an attorney in private practice in New York City. In addition to his private practice, he currently serves as Legislative Counsel to the New York Civil Liberties Union and as Assistant Adjunct Professor of Law at New York University, where he teaches a course on the rights of gay people. E. Carrington Boggan is a New York City attorney who has done considerable work in the area of gay civil rights. He has served as General Counsel for Lambda Defense and Education Fund, Inc., a non-profit corporation that protects the civil rights of gay people through the legal process. He is also a past Chairperson of the American Bar Association Section on Individual Rights and Responsibilities. Marilyn G. Haft has worked extensively in the areas of women’s rights, prisoners’ rights, and sexual privacy. She has served as Director of the ACLU National Project on Sexual Privacy and has chaired subcommittees on prostitution and victimless crimes for the American Bar Association. She has also worked in the Office of the Counsel to the Vice-President of the United States and on the staff of the U.S. Mission to the United Nations. Charles Lister is an attorney in Washington, D.C. A graduate of Harvard and Oxford Universities, he has served as a Special Assistant in the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force and as law clerk to Mr. Justice Harlan of the U.S. Supreme Court. He has been as Associate Professor at the Yale Law School, and has served as a consultant on privacy and civil liberties issues to various state and federal agencies. John P. Rupp is a graduate of the Yale Law School, and is a member of the bars of the District of Columbia and Maine. He has previously worked in the Office of the Solicitor General of the United States, and is presently an attorney in Washington, D.C.
